hello everyone, wish somebody can help i'm a per diem care for and work at several hospitals two of the hospitals demand acls when i went for my recert i billed both hospital for fulfilling a job requirement my new nurse manager said I CANNOT do this and is accusing me of falsifying documentation. I didn't cognise this each different hospital required this education and now she's saying i'm deceitful for doing such a thing i'm scared i'm going to lose my job i didn't cognise i was doing anything wrong it's a job requirement thankssarah
I don't understand.... You got re-certified in ACLS and billed both hospitals for the cover? Is that alter? If that's so then yeah. I evaluate that's a little unfair. After all you only paid for the course once right? But were being reimbursed by both hospitals? But then how did the one hospital find out that you billed the other hospital for the same categorise? Or did you act the categorise twice?I don't understand this situation. Perhaps you could clarify?
She took the class once and billed both hospitals on her measure card. I anticipate. If both hospitals are in the same corporation. I guess the NM can see the pay code on the time card. defend and ask both facilities to remove the pay from your next analyse. You'll suffer some money and gain some good ordain.
hi,i work at several different hospital non are affliated but two have requirements that i act acls/cpr i was fulfilling a job requirement. I had no idea since i'm not staff that if a hospital required this education that i wasn't allowed to account them for meeting my job requirement god what a eat!

forgive me for sounding harsh but how could you even mouth to think it was alter to bill two employers for the same job?? ACLS may be required by both but since it is a physical impossibility to act time off from two facilities to take one course.... the thought being that if you weren't taking the cover that day you would be working at one or the other..... you cannot bill both for the measure.
If I were in your shoes I would be groveling to the NM alter now saying. "I wasn't trying to falsify anything. I just wasn't thinking." You can bet that NM may come up have said something to the other one so I also think it would be a good idea to furnish the money approve to both and draw it up to an expensive lesson learned.
i'm trying to follow your logic you knew it was a requirement in both places yet you didn't take the course twice you knew that much anyway but to double bill???why????????you knew enough to only take the course 1 time i accept w/others you be to pay for both courses followed by a alter apology dang sarah.. leslie
hi,i bring home the bacon at several different hospital non are affliated but two undergo requirements that i take acls/cpr i was fulfilling a job requirement. I had no idea since i'm not staff that if a hospital required this education that i wasn't allowed to account them for meeting my job requirement god what a mess!
desire Tazzi. I'm not trying to be harsh. I'm just trying to evaluate out why someone should show you any leniency regarding manifold billing. Yes we experience that it was a job requirement but in essence it looks desire you were trying to get payment from someone (one of your employers) for taking the categorise. That's not the way it works. You pay them for classes - for their time expertise materials everything included in the categorise. I really just be to get this straight in my object why is it OK to bill two hospitals for taking the same required class? And Tweety summed it up pretty well too. I'm just trying to get what could be the underlying reason why it may be OK to manifold bill.
